How to get rid of blackheads

A blackhead is caused by excess oil that has clogged a pore. Blackhead if not properly treated can leave holes and spots on the face.

To prevent blackheads do not use creamy, greasy, and thick (emollient) products, or bar soap. As the ingredients that hold soap in a bar form can clog the pores in your skin. They can also cause skin cells to flake off prematurely and clog the pores. Also try to keep your hair away from your face, as your hair sometimes has oil that can clog the pores.

Natural treatments

1.Steam Face
Steaming your face will open up the pore making it easy to squeeze the blackhead. Steam face for 10 mins, either by placing hot towel over over your face, or holding your head over a hot water.

2. Pat your face dry

3. Place a piece of tissue on the tip of each finger to avoid slipping, which could tear the skin and cause further damage.

4. Gently apply even pressure to both sides of the blackhead by pushing down, then up around the blemish. You're trying to apply the pressure from *underneath* the blackhead.

5. Wash face with cold water to close back pores, then put on a moisturizer.
